Jason Kranitz is the founder and driving force behind Major League Fab, known throughout the 12-volt industry as a master fabricator, innovator, and teacher. With a career spanning more than three decades, Jason has built a reputation for award-winning work, outside-the-box thinking, and a passion for sharing knowledge. His accolades include Installer of the Year, two-time Retailer of the Year, Sales Pro of the Year, and numerous features in industry publications.

Jason’s journey began in the late ’80s when his love for BMX racing collided with his first experience of high-powered car audio—a moment that sparked a lifelong passion. By 1992, he was working in local shops, quickly developing a talent for fabrication and system tuning. His career took him through small businesses, large retail chains, and even the manufacturing side with Phoenix Gold, where he gained insight into production, testing, and business strategy.

In 2006, Jason founded Kingpin Car & Marine Audio, which rapidly grew into one of the most innovative retail shops in the industry. He pioneered concepts like appointment-only showrooms, white-glove service, structured project management systems, and client-focused communication that set new standards for the field. His success in retail naturally evolved into education, leading to the creation of Kingpin University in 2013—an institution dedicated to teaching both fabrication and business practices to professionals nationwide.

By 2019, Jason relocated to Las Vegas to open a state-of-the-art training facility, hosting hands-on classes and manufacturer trainings during industry trade shows. When the pandemic forced shutdowns, he pivoted to online education with creative programming like Corona Conversations and Fab Fridays, while developing innovative tools such as Levate Filler, Create Filler, and the original Clean Wire Template Set.

In 2023, after closing his retail and training operations to explore the motorcycle industry, Jason’s passion for teaching reignited. He launched Travel Free Training, a groundbreaking platform using multi-camera studio setups to deliver high-level fabrication education directly to students’ shops and homes—eliminating the barrier of travel while providing an up-close learning experience.

Today, Jason continues to push boundaries, creating new tools, techniques, and training opportunities for the next generation of fabricators. Backed by the unwavering support of his wife Susan, his mission remains clear: to inspire, educate, and elevate the 12-volt community.
